The One With David Duston – PPP039

Many Keap Partners have diverse backgrounds, and none more so than David Duston who I had the pleasure of chatting to for this episode. I first met David in 2017 when we ended up sharing a room at ICON and we’ve been good friends since but it wasn’t until this podcast that I discovered his musical talents. He plays the piano and saxophone.

David has been an Infusionsoft/Keap Certified Partner since March 2017, combined with being a franchise owner and executive director of TEAM Referral Network. The self-confessed pragmatist loves professional networking as it allows him to positively impact people’s businesses and their lives as well.

A doting family man, David shared how it is growing up in a traditional, music loving family, how he empowers young people to identify opportunities that are right under their noses, and why he prefers entrepreneurship over working for someone else.

I discovered a realm of interesting things about David—how he met his wife, the language he can read fluently, his favourite book, and the creative way his son convinced him to purchase the game Fortnite!

The engrossing anecdotes David shared make this episode well worth a listen. He even threw in a little sample of his musical prowess for good measure so you owe it to yourself not to miss this one!

The One With Laura Kamrath – PPP038

In this episode I sat down with my friend and fellow Infusionsoft/Keap Certified Partner, Laura Kamrath.

Laura is an entrepreneur and geologist (with a Rice University MBA no less!) who has spent much of her Infusionsoft career doing technical marketing and sales.

Previously, she built a successful career in the oil industry before starting Zebra Marketing Solutions a digital marketing business that helps oil and energy companies become more efficient, get more customers, and make more money so they can scale their business.

Laura shared with me her experiences of working within male-dominated industries. She also talked about what she has learned from working with people with diverse upbringings and backgrounds, and how she has grown and evolved over the years. She speaks passionately about her love for the outdoors and how that led to her taking part in her 10th MS 150 bike ride which raises money to support those with MS.

Laura’s wit, honesty, and fun nature makes this episode worth listening to so don’t miss it!

The One With John Arnott – PPP037

In today’s episode, I sat down with John Arnott whose positivity is contagious. John has been an Infusionsoft Certified Partner since April of 2015. He is also a brilliant entrepreneur who’s built and sold several businesses, and is currently growing Content First Marketing.

Content First Marketing helps small businesses grow through great writing and strong analytical foundations. Passionate about helping small businesses grow, he looks forward to growing the organisation to at least a thousand clients in the near future.

Apart from sharing his entrepreneurial journey, John also talked about his Mount Kilimanjaro adventure, his lovely family, and the amazing things faith, belief, and the right mindset can bring about. He also shared the book he turns to to lift him up (whenever things don’t go his way) for good measure!

John’s vulnerability, candor, and positivity made this conversation a real pleasure so don’t miss it!

The One With Ann Flynn – PPP036

Ann Flynn is an independent, creative, and steadfast professional who helps businesses with marketing, business analysis, and consulting. She is also an expert Infusionsoft Certified Partner.

The doting mum who loves tackling new projects and figuring out new things is also a savvy entrepreneur with plenty of sound business insights, thanks to her vast experience working in the corporate world, working for various businesses, and running the family enterprise.

In today’s episode, she got candid about a lot of things – how she met her husband, the ritual she did with her Dad for 20 years, and how her business came about and evolved, among many others.

Ann’s jovial and charming nature made this conversation truly enjoyable. I hope you’ll enjoy today’s episode as much as I did!

The One With Marc P Summers – PPP035

In this episode, I had the pleasure of chatting with a brilliant entrepreneur, a good friend, and Infusionsoft’s Top Sales Partner for two years in a row (2012 and 2013), Marc P Summers.

Tenacious, passionate, and always ahead of the curve, Marc’s unwavering drive is quite evident in his entrepreneurial journey—from talking his way into a web design job, to running his own web development company, to becoming one of the most successful Infusionsoft Certified Partners.

Aside from sharing many highlights in his journey as an entrepreneur, Marc also shared a lot of profound life insights—the importance of believing in yourself, why you should follow your heart, and the advice Dory gave that he always heeds.

Without doubt, this episode is one of the most compelling I have done. After all, Marc’s story is a testament the road to success is not always linear. In fact, it can be one hell of a rollercoaster ride!

The One With Matt Vosburgh – PPP Bonus

Today’s episode is the first bonus one, where I sit down and chat with an Infusionsoft employee who is closely involved in the partner program and community.

Matt Vosburgh is part of Infusionsoft’s Partner Training and Onboarding team. He is responsible for providing newly certified partners with the training, resources, and tools to help them grow their businesses successfully.

Aside from giving us insight into what he does, Matt also talked about his 12-year stint as a band member, his accidental introduction to digital marketing, and the weird thing he does with the sheets.

Matt’s wit and sense of humour made this conversation truly fun so remember to tune in!

The One With Cindy Eagar — PPP034

In today’s episode, the last of season one, I had the pleasure to sit down with an old friend and one of the people who helped kickstart the partner program back in 2011, Cindy Eagar. Cindy was with Infusionsoft for 10 years, working her way up from Affiliate Marketing Manager to Director of Elite Programs.

And although she is not [currently] an Infusionsoft Partner, Cindy’s instigation of, and intimate involvement with the ICC/ICP program over the last 7 years is enough to earn her an honorary place in The Partner’s Partner Podcast!

Currently, she is the founder and president of Partner Up, a company that helps small businesses launch Partner Programs so they can grow their customer base quickly. Gracious and independent, she shared how her father’s entrepreneurial spirit has helped shape the woman she is today and how she’s looking to pass the same trait to her children.

Cindy also shared her experiences as an exchange student in France, her life post Infusionsoft, and how using affirmations has helped change her mindset profoundly. This is one of the most delightful interviews I have done so I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!

The One With Brett Farr — PPP033

In today’s episode, I sat down with Brett Farr, the founder and marketing automation guru of Blick Digital. Having worked in the marketing automation space for almost a decade now, he’s undoubtedly brilliant when it comes to implementing topnotch automation campaigns for his clients.

The warm-hearted and doting family man shared some interesting and amusing anecdotes: what it’s like growing up on an island; his experiences while living in Switzerland and Germany, and the funny mess he got himself into when he bought a car on Craigslist.

Apart from the stories he shared, Brett also gave us an insight into some of the things that mean the most to him and has helped shape the man he is today – his faith, family, and his intention to give back and serve others.

Truly, this is one inspiring conversation I hope you won’t miss!

The One With Brian Keith — PPP032

This episode is probably one of the longest I have done. The reason becomes apparent once you start listening and see how easy it is to lose track of time when you’re chatting with someone as cultured and eloquent as Brian Keith.

Brian is an Infusionsoft Certified Partner and has been referred to as the “Infusionsoft McGyver” because of his unparalleled creativity and skills. He’s also the brains behind Red Beard Consulting, a company that helps small businesses earn seven figures using Infusionsoft and automation.

The avid mountain climber and skilled swordsman covered many interesting topics from start to finish… from the ‘pecking order’, to his Scottish heritage, down to Ayn Rand’s masterpiece Atlas Shrugged.

No dull moments in this episode for sure, so don’t miss it!

The One With Sarah Laws — PPP031

In today’s episode, I had the pleasure of chatting with the person who has won the “Most Helpful Partner of the Year” award three times in a row, Sarah Laws.

Sarah describes herself as a marketing nerd, mastermind leader, and entrepreneur. Sarah is passionate about helping others and has helped many people grow their businesses through sales and marketing automation.

The self-confessed “introverted extrovert” came from an entrepreneurial family and learned the value of working hard and developing convincing negotiating skills at an early age. Those valuable skills have helped her navigate the business path successfully to this day.

Chatting on a podcast was a new experience for her and once she became more at ease and opened up, I learnt a lot about her, from her move to Scotland to her entrepreneurial ventures, to her fear of public speaking.

Undoubtedly, her humour and honesty made this a truly engrossing episode… so don’t miss it!
